3 soup day

I stayed with my gracious grandparents for two days while my parents were here visiting, partly in avoidance of my house mouse, and partly because they treat me like royalty: scrambled eggs for breakfast, a choice of three homemade soups for dinner, packed leftovers for lunch, air conditioning, good conversation, AND a much shorter commute to work. All in all, happy my parents came into the city, and happy for my UWS home away from home. Gracias!

lousy house mouse

there has been a house mouse staying with us for the past few weeks. exterminators have come and gone, and yet the lousy house mouse continues to lurk. if our house were just a wee bit larger, i would feel less disgusted by the prospect of sharing my house with a mouse, but alas, he is probably sleeping on my pillow at night.
