back from an awesome weekend in san francisco-- not pictured: tory and molly, rico and tevy, colin and e, lattes and caps, girl scout cookies and goldsworthy, mt. tam and old grey, paint party and dance party, delfina and flour + water. overall a successful east meets west endeavor.

taco de pescado
Do you like fresh fish?
It's just fine at Finney's Diner.
Finney also has some fresher fish
that's fresher and much finer.

saturday morning brunch
celebrations were in order for miss jaccom. cheesy eggs, toast with smoked salmon, avocado, capers, fresh fruit smoothies, and three cups of tea.

half-eaten-lunch
midway through my lunch the other day i realized my salad looked very photogenic: raw beets, castello blue cheese, carrot, and avocado. homemade hummus on the side spiced with chipotle chile pepper, garlic, and cumin.
weeknight meal
brooke's asian-inspired raw salad of carrot, tofu, snap peas, peanuts, scallion, and cucumber, tossed in our famous peanut-ginger-soy dressing. served with hard boiled egg and quinoa.

vegging out
this salad felt like summer: avocado, tomato, gouda, scallion, carrot.
i am also hooked on Ruth Reichl's journal these days. she posted while vacationing in key west, and i won't lie and say that i didn't immediately check air and hotel fares online. anyone interested? mid-march? takers?
